Rustic Elegance in
Antler Lighting & Metal Artistry
The artistry of Phil Gillette.......
Phil has had a life-long love of  wildlife and of the
outdoors. He is also very gifted artistically.  Expressing
himself through his art is a perfect combination for him.
He enjoys working with steel - often antique steel, as well
as hand crafting high quality antler lamps & chandeliers.
His work has been described as "rustic elegance", and
almost all of his pieces reflect his love of the outdoors.

Using a plasma cutter & a welder, Phil takes old &
forgotten things from the past & gives them new life
again.  Incorporating such items as plow discs, mill
blades, crosscut saws, wagon wheels, horseshoes, milk
cans, antique watering cans, oxen yokes or shovels into
his work.  Because each piece is handcrafted, each piece
is unique and a one of a kind.  He loves the challenge of
creating custom pieces for people and their homes.

You can see his work at his wildlife art gallery, which
also features the work of a few other local artists.  It is
located in his other business - Phil's Outdoor Surplus &
More.  The address is 2630 Bearco Loop in La Grande,
Oregon.  Stop by if you are in the area - we would love to
meet you!
